Less-than-truckload (LTL)

A shipment that won't fill an entire trailer if hauled alone, and thus is consolidated with other shippers' freight to form a full load. This is in contrast to a full-truckload (FTL) shipment, in which one shipper is transporting enough cargo to fill an entire container.
