A Transportation Security Administration (TSA) designation for shippers who have been added to TSA's Known Shipper program database following a vetting process conducted by an approved carrier or forwarder. To add another layer of security to air travel, unknown shippers aren't permitted to transport cargo by passenger aircraft.
