Consolidated freight station (CFS)

Also known as a container freight station, a consolidated freight station (CFS) is a warehouse where less-than-container-load (LCL) shipments are consolidated into one container with other shipments heading to the same destination area. After the container arrives at the destination, it will then go to another CFS warehouse to be deconsolidated back into individual shipments for the final leg of the delivery.
