A flat-nosed truck in which the driver's cab is located above the engine. Originally manufactured to increase maneuverability, visibility, and efficiency while still meeting length regulations, the outdated design is no longer in production due to safety concerns and an increase in trucks' legally permissible length. As a result, the number of cab over engine trucks in circulation is steadily decreasing.
