Transflo T7 ELD Review

Developed by Pegasus Trans Tech, the Transflo ELD provides one of the best solutions for electronic log tracking. Unlike other ELD solutions, most of which are expensive for owner-operators and fleet managers, the Transflo ELD provides a valuable solution that is also affordable.

As such, the Transflo ELD is a high-quality bang for your buck. This simple, compliant device offers an easy solution to tracking HOS and creating digital logs. But that’s not all the Transflo ELD is capable of!

Read on to learn more about how the innovative ELD hardware works, the benefits of adding it to your fleet, and how it can help you reduce your costs.

How Does the Transflo ELD Work?

An ELD serves the purpose of logging hours and creating inspection reports. The Transflo ELD takes fleet management one step further by providing drivers and fleet managers with a dashboard that helps them optimize their revenue and avoid unnecessary costs.

The product was created to save time, thus saving money. When you use the Transflo ELD, all of your paperwork will be handled electronically through the app. Approved and certified by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration (FMCSA), this product uses innovative technology to ensure that you are in compliance with government regulations.

When you use the Transflo ELD, you’ll receive three products in one: the Transflo Telematics software, the mobile app, and the ELD. Transflo has two subscription options, including the Standard ELD subscription and the Fleet Telematics subscription.

The Standard subscription offers DVIRs, IFTA fuel tracking, HOS tracking, DOT compliance, and a GPS. The Fleet subscription includes everything that the standard subscription offers as well as vehicle analytics.

These analytics include insight into gas usage, speed, engine assessment, fault codes, and driver behaviors like seatbelt usage, odometer, and overall compliance.

Transflo ELD FAQs

Whether you are a truck driver or a fleet manager, it's paramount that you research all of the ELDs you’re considering before you ultimately select the best ELD for you. Below, you will find some of the most commonly asked questions that other drivers have searched prior to purchasing the Transflo ELD.

How Do I Register My Transflo ELD?

Start by installing your Transflo hours of service (HOS) app. Once you have the app installed, you will be prompted to begin the registration process as soon as you open the app.

How Do I Add a Driver to Transflo?

When you are in the Transflo Mobile+ App, press on your name, which is located in the top right corner. You will then need to press on the “Add Driver” option and log the next driver's information. Each vehicle can have up to three co-drivers.

Which Phones Support the Transflo Mobile+ App?

The majority of Android and Apple iOS phones support the Transflo Mobile+ app. More specifically, the phone needs to have a camera with eight megapixel or more, as well as a flash and the auto-focus feature. Can I Use the Transflo Telematics Software on My iPad, Android, or Windows Tablet?

If your device is actively connected to the internet, you can use the Transflo Telematics app from your device. The app was designed to run via a web browser, so the software will be accessible no matter where you are located or what type of tablet, computer, or mobile device you are using.

What Happens When the Vehicle Loses Cell Service?

If your vehicle loses cell service, the location and the engine data will still be collected and stored on the Transflo device. When you regain cell service, the data will then be sent to the Transflo servers and reflected within the Transflo ELD app.

Performance Factors of Transflo ELD

The goal of the Transflo ELD is to reduce the amount of manual time drivers have to spend on logging hours and creating their own driving reports. This product also comes with more features than the ones required by the Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration.
