"Heavy lift" equipment is machinery required for the movement, handling and installation of very heavy cargoes, typically weighing over 100 tons, to and from different locations and modes of transportation. This could include special trucks/trailers, shore cranes, floating cranes, and lift trucks, some of which may be installed aboard a ship specifically designed for extremely heavy freight.
