A combi aircraft has the capability to transport both passengers and cargo on the main deck of the aircraft, either simultaneously or on separate flights. When being carried simultaneously, the cargo is generally placed in the rear portion of the passenger aircraft. Combi aircraft are distinctive from other aircraft because of the large doors, which allow for a smooth transition of loading and unloading between passengers and cargo.
