Landlord port

A type of port in which the port authority owner leases the port's infrastructure, including terminals and wharves, to a terminal operator. The terminal operator, typically a stevedoring company, provides cargo-handling equipment such as forklifts and cranes, hires longshoremen to work the docks, and negotiates contracts with ocean carriers to load and unload ship cargoes.
