Gross vehicle weight rating (GVWR)

Total amount of weight that can safely be handled by a truck, which can typically be found on a truck's placard. Trucks with a GVWR between 14,001 and 26,000 pounds, such as the Ford F-650, are considered "medium-duty." Trucks with a GVWR of at least 26,001 pounds, including the Kenworth W900, are "heavy-duty."
